Kiss & Drop

As we are situated in a narrow country road where parking is at a premium, Kiss & Drop is a vital part of our daily routine.

The scheme is operated by parent volunteers, all of whom are DBS checked as part of school safeguarding policy.

You will recognise the volunteers as they wear high visibility jackets, and man the area outside the school main gate.

Parents are encouraged to use this facility in the morning by pulling up into the layby, ensuring that their child exits the car on the pavement side. They are then greeted by a volunteer and directed onto the school playground. As well as easing the traffic congestion, we have found that this practice really helps the children in gaining independence and sets the right tone for the start of the school day.
